This new course was developed for Java programmers doing their first steps using the assertion facility. The assertion facility provides a mechanism for adding optional checks to our code to be used during the development and the testing phases. These optional checks are turned off when the software is deployed. This course is available for free (for personal & academic usage only) at abelski web site. It was developed by Haim Michael and is continuously updated with more samples, assignments and explanations. Taking this course please don't hesitate and let us know of any topic for which you would have expected to find more information and/or a more detailed explanation as well as any aspect or topic you would have expected to find and we still haven't included. More info about this course and about Haim Michael's perspective about its development can be found at www.lifemichael.com, Haim Michael blog.

This new course was developed for Java programmers doing their first steps using web services. The Extensible Markup Language (XML), a subset of SGML, was originally formed to enable generic SGML to be served, received and processed on the web (as HTML). XML is the natural choice for B2B connectivity. This course focuses on Java SE core web services introducing Java API for XML based web services (JAX-WS) and Java Architecture for XML Binding (JAXB) together with real world examples. This course is available for free (for personal usage only) at abelski web site. It was developed by Haim Michael and is continuously updated with more samples, assignments and explanations. Taking this course please don't hesitate and let us know of any topic for which you would have expected to find more information and/or a more detailed explanation as well as any aspect or topic you would have expected to find and we still haven't included.
